Sentence Expander

This worksheet is a great starting point for helping your child grow their writing skills in a simple, approachable way. It focuses on taking short, basic sentences and turning them into something more detailed and meaningful. At this stage, many students tend to write in very brief statements, and that’s completely normal. What this activity does is gently guide them to add more information so their ideas become clearer and more interesting to read. It’s less about being “fancy” and more about helping them say what they really mean.
