Strawberry Sort
In this cut-and-paste activity, students sort strawberries by size into jars labeled “small,” “medium,” and “large.” Each strawberry image varies slightly in size, allowing students to practice size categorization. After cutting out the strawberries, they paste each one in the corresponding jar. This hands-on exercise reinforces understanding of size differences in a tactile way.
Cut-and-paste sorting activities engage fine motor skills and improve hand-eye coordination as students handle scissors and glue. By sorting and categorizing, students strengthen cognitive skills and size vocabulary comprehension. This activity also boosts visual-spatial awareness, helping kids understand where items belong in different groupings. Furthermore, such activities make learning interactive, increasing engagement and reinforcing memory retention.
