Action Finder
In this activity, students locate the compound predicate in each sentence and separate the two actions performed by the subject. Each action is written in its own box labeled Action #1 and Action #2, helping students clearly see the two verbs that make up the compound predicate.
Breaking sentences into their individual actions helps students understand how compound predicates function within a sentence. This exercise strengthens verb identification and sentence analysis skills. It also encourages students to focus on how multiple actions can belong to the same subject, improving their understanding of grammar and helping them write clearer, more organized sentences.
