Adjective Detectives
This worksheet asks students to read sentences and determine whether the adjectives are coordinate or cumulative. Coordinate adjectives describe a noun equally and can be rearranged, while cumulative adjectives build upon one another and must stay in a specific order.
By analyzing adjective relationships, students deepen their understanding of how descriptive language works in sentences. This activity strengthens grammar awareness and helps students learn how punctuation and word order affect meaning. These skills support both careful reading and more precise descriptive writing.
