Pronoun Function Finder

In this activity, students examine pairs of sentences and determine which sentence uses the bold word as a relative pronoun. The sentences contain words such as when, where, or other clause markers that may or may not function as relative pronouns depending on the context.

Comparing sentence pairs helps students develop stronger grammar analysis skills. By identifying when a word functions as a relative pronoun rather than another type of word, students gain a clearer understanding of clause structure and improve their ability to interpret complex sentences.
