Text Analysis Worksheet

Text Analysis

This worksheet asks your child to read a longer passage and find examples of repeated ending phrases within it. This is a great way to move beyond short examples and into more natural, flowing text. Your child will need to slow down and really pay attention to how sentences are structured. It helps them see how repetition works across multiple lines, not just in isolated sentences.

As they work through the passage, they’ll begin to recognize how this technique builds rhythm and emphasis in writing. They may also notice how the repeated phrase connects ideas and gives the text a stronger voice. This kind of close reading builds deeper comprehension skills. It also encourages your child to think about how authors make their writing more powerful. Over time, this strengthens both reading and writing abilities.
