Ending Trigraphs
Students look at pictures and determine which ending trigraph (“tch,” “dge,” or “air”) belongs in the word. For example, a picture of a judge might correspond to the trigraph “dge.” This worksheet builds recognition of trigraphs at the ends of words. It provides both visual and contextual clues to aid understanding.
Recognizing ending trigraphs strengthens phonics and spelling skills. This activity encourages students to decode sounds and match them to written forms. By associating trigraphs with specific word endings, children improve their reading and writing fluency. This task also develops vocabulary and attention to detail.
